Christmas Day

The day starts and ends with gale force wind and rain.

Harbour LIghts   £75 lunch meeneu included very small sharing starter on a large side plate for two people including soggy crisps copy Christmas lunch at the Harbour Lights in the Sefton Hotel, Douglas turns out to be a rip off at £75 per person. Poor quality food and very small portions and no attempt to celebrate what should be a very special occasion. Worst dining experience for a long time.

Boxing Day

Peele on the Isle of Man
Despite the continuing strong wind and heavy rain we head for Peel today on the other side of the island. The buses are running today so we take the bus.

Harvest Salad and Roquefort Toast at the Lieveken Restaurant in the Halvard Hotel
This evening we dine in the Lieveken Restaurant in our hotel, the Halvard Hotel, and enjoy an excellent meal. I start with the Harvest Salad and Roquefort Toast.

Today is our last day on the Isle of Man but we are not leaving until this evening so we have time to visit the Manx Museum in Douglas
