The Dolomeet Card
The Dolomeet Card is available to purchase online, at your hotel or from the local tourist office. This year the card has been digitalised to comply with safeguards in place regarding COVID-19 for example, mandatory use of face masks on cabin lifts and shuttle buses and limiting numbers on shuttle buses to aid social distancing. It comes in different types (Easy and Standard) and is available for different periods of time from 3 days to 20 days. There are also different rates for low and high season.
This card offers great value. I found it particularly useful as it includes unlimited use of the summer lifts in Madonna di Campiglio (4 cabin lifts) and Pinzolo (1 cabin lift and one chair lift). It also gives free use of shuttle buses to local beauty spots (booking essential) and free or discounted access to major museums and natural parks. The Trentino Guest Card
The Trentino Guest Card supplements the Dolomeet Card by allowing free, unlimited use of local public transport. This applies to buses and trains originating or ending in Trentino. It is available from hotels and other holiday accommodation and can be downloaded to your smartphone as soon as you book. It can, therefore, be used for your journey to your hotel in Trentino. Apart from free use of local public transport the card also offers free or discounted access to many attractions throughout the region. The card is included in your stay at no additional cost. How the Dolomeet Card and the Trentino Guest Card Work Together
I am a keen walker and my Dolomeet Card was perfect as I could go up and down the cabin lifts as many times as I liked. I could also book the summer shuttle buses to take me to Vallesinella, the starting point for several wonderful walks. Or, Patascoss and then walk back to Madonna di Campiglio. One of my favourite outings was a trip to Pinzolo on the local bus using my Trentino Guest Card. I took the cabin lift and then a chair lift to the top of Doss del Sabion and had a walk up there. I then came back down on the lifts and visited the weekly market in Pinzolo (every Wednesday) before getting the local bus back to Madonna di Campiglio.
The Dolomeet Card features some interesting and unusual events. I was very interested in breakfast at a local farm but the dates did not work for me. I will just have to go back and try again.
