The Riverside of Watford in Hertfordshire
In the seventeenth century Watford had become sufficiently important to have a service of carriers to London but in those days the River Colne had to be forded on entering the town. Today they flow gently through the town to be enjoyed by visitors to Hertfordshire in England.
