Jane Austen, John Fowles, and Henry Fielding are just three of many famous writers who have found inspiration in Lyme Regis, a pretty seaside town on the Jurassic Coast in Dorset. The town is also famous as the birthplace and home to Mary Anning, a palaeontologist before her time but is now recognised for her ground-breaking work not only in the Lyme Regis Museum but worldwide and honoured by a statue in her home town.
