The Sitting Room at Thalassa in Falmouth

All the rooms are beautifully decorated, light and spacious. Both the sitting room and the kitchen look out across the harbour and so do two of the bedrooms. French windows lead out on to the spacious patio outside.

Two steepish flights of narrow stairs lead up to the property from street level but they are well-lit and have strong bannisters so these are not a problem for most people. As far as luggage is concerned small cases/bags are easier to handle on these stairs.

Attractions near Thalassa in Falmouth

Falmouth is a very attractive, seaside town with narrow cobbled streets lined with interesting independent shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants. It is easy to while away half a day browsing shops and indulging in Cornish pasties and cream teas. It is also home to the National Maritime Museum on Discovery Quay. Fifteen galleries offer exhibitions of boats, Monsters of the Sea and an Unnatural World. Pendennis Castle is a short walk from the town, topping a hill above the town. Its sister castle, St Mawes Castle is just across the harbour, a short journey on the regular ferry from the Prince of Wales Quay. Beaches fringe the rocky coastline and parks and gardens enhance this pretty area.
